Piscine Global 2016: the Specifiers’ Days
Piscine Global is coming up soon! The event will take place at the Eurexpo exhibition centre in Lyon from 15 to 18 November. It will be the opportunity to tap into the latest trends, pick up development ideas and share experience. Specifiers (architects, designers, landscape architects) will find an unrivalled amount of information on issues they are facing today, and what they can expect in the future! Two days are even devoted to these professionals during the exhibition, on 16 and 17 November. Here is an overview of the programme.
Design: the focal point of tomorrow’s pools?
Nowadays, fitting a pool does not just involve proposing a tank or, exaggerating somewhat, a hole filled with water in a garden. Specifiers often have to meet design requirements: prospective buyers, in particular professionals, want aesthetically appealing, modern and innovative pools.
So, what are the sector’s current main trends? The installation of LED lighting systems? The use of new materials like quartz or phosphorescent mosaics? What products are currently trending with customers, and what will tomorrow’s most popular products be? All these aspects, and others besides, will be addressed during a seminar entitled “Design as a source of genuine added value when creating pools”. Architects will voice their points of view concerning the close relationship between pools and the notion of “aesthetically pleasing”.
Integrating pools into their surroundings, a new challenge
In addition to their traditional role as advisors regarding regulations and standards, pool specifiers are now required to make sure that the pools proposed are perfectly integrated into their surroundings. This, of course, is a made-to-measure service: projects that one prospective buyer finds appealing will not be suited to another, and vice versa!
But what skills are required? How should they be applied, and how can you propose a comprehensive solution to potential customers? These topics will be addressed during the second seminar organised in the context of the Specifiers’ Days. It will be entitled “Integrating pools into their surroundings: a combination of skills or a dual skill?”. Several pool specialists will contribute and reveal their trade secrets, and share their advice and feedback with the professionals in attendance!
And last but not least …
A guided tour of the Confluence district will be organised by Lyon Tourist Office on 17 November. It will be the opportunity to see the measures that have been taken to create an aesthetically appealing setting, and the new facilities and structures that have been integrated into the landscape in this district of Lyon that is full of future promise.
What about you, what do you find aesthetically appealing when it comes to pools? What can be done to ensure a pool is integrated into its surroundings? Come and discuss these topics at Piscine Global during the Specifiers’ Days, on 17 and 18 November in Lyon! In the meantime, don’t forget to ask for your badge directly on our website.
